Creative arts

Creative arts is mandatory for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

In creative arts, students discover a variety of art forms through a study of dance, drama, music and visual arts where they learn to appreciate, compose, listen, make and perform.

Each art form has its own unique knowledge and skills, elements or concepts as well as a capacity to inspire and enrich lives.

Performing Arts

Each Wednesday our students have 45mins class lessons with Janet, our music teacher. They focus on rhythm and reading music. Janet also runs our school band and our choir!

Jo, our music tutor, works closely with our students on Fridays. She focuses on both private tuition (piano, vocals and African drumming) and whole class performances.

Visual Arts

Visual Arts is integrated across the curriculum - come and check out our classrooms to see the array of art on show!

Each Tuesday we run an art club during recess and lunch to engage our children in this creative pursuit.

We also offer Art enrichment courses through out the year. These are tailored at students who wish to learn new artistic skills. We offer a one day emersion for year 3 and 4 students with local artist, Roly Pearce. We also offer a two day course for children in year 5 and 6.
